Bloody Mary recipe at home
There are several methods for making this amazing beverage — in a shaker, blender, glass, in layers — and with different proportions. According to the International Barmen Association (IBA) standards, any of these methods can be used. We will resort to the simplest option which consists in mixing all the ingredients in a glass.
Worcestershire sauce is an English sweet and sour seasoning based on vinegar, sugar and fish, while Tabasco is a spicy hot sauce made of pepper, vinegar and salt. At home, these two ingredients are used quite rarely, and they don’t significantly affect the taste, so you can do without them.
Some bartenders advise first to mix vodka with pepper, salt and lemon juice, and only then to fill a glass with ice. This is supposed to improve the taste.
How to drink Bloody Mary
The beverage belongs to the group of longdrinks — refreshing large-volume cocktails that are drunk through a straw in small sips. If the Bloody Mary mix is prepared in layers, then a glass comes with two straws so that the person can regulate the flow of vodka and tomato juice into his body. Have a bite of celery after you drink up the cocktail.
Another interesting fact is, this drink helps relieve a hangover and headache in the morning after a party.
